Top 3 Tollywood Best Performances Of The YearWe are in the last quarter of the year and looking ahead there aren’t any films that are likely to make headlines regarding performances. Nani could surprise in MCA, and it would surely be taken into consideration at the year-end roundup. But frankly, it doesn’t give that groundbreaking or exceptional performance vibes, even though the film could be a big success. Below is current top 3 performance list with the number one being a firm number 1.

1. Vijay Devarakonda: Arjun Reddy

Without an iota of doubt, Vijay Devarakonda’s act in Arjun Reddy is the best performance of the year or the past few years. It is a sensational and once in a lifetime sort of act that is not seen before in Telugu cinema. It is a game changer. The difference between Vijay Devarakonda and others is the realistic acting without any theatricality or artificial dramatic emotions.

It is the sort of performance that deserves National Awards. Period.

2. Sharwanand: Mahanubhavudu

If we only look at the character graph and imagine it with the progress of the story of Mahanubhavudu, the role of Anand is a regular run of the mill one. However, what makes it brilliant or separates it from other such character arcs the actual character of the hero having OCD. The thing is the role and performance could very quickly become irritating and cringe-worthy if done badly. Sharwanand manages it beautifully without ever getting on our nerves.

Also, Sharwanand’s body language is different and fresh when compared his previous films like Shatamanam Bhavati or Radha. It is not repetitive, and that’s where he scores over Nani in Ninnu Kori. The latter was good, but it was a repeated act nonetheless.

3. Jr NTR: Jai Lava Kusa

Much has been said and written about Jr NTR from Jai Lava Kusa. All we have got to say is it is good but, there is nothing unpredictable. Previously whenever the star-actors did multiple roles, they chose a character that was different regarding character and emotions, it showcased a new unexplored side. Kamal Haasan’s multiple role films or Chiranjeevi’s Mugguru Monagallu, where the third character was a Brahmin, one gets to see a different dimension. The same can’t be said about Jai Lava Kusa where the three separate characters were extended versions of three normal variations of Jr NTR. Stammering alone doesn’t make it different.
