This year has been very eventful for Bollywood as it saw the rise of the regional film, ‘Baahubali’ transcending the language barriers and recording the biggest blockbuster in the history of the Indian Cinema.
New goals are set up for upcoming Bollywood movies and expectations are soaring high on the big films to catch the benchmarks set up by ‘Baahubali 2’. Two Shahrukh Khan movies hit theatres this year and none of them came anywhere close to ‘Baahubali 2‘ mega collections of Rs. 510.98 crores.
Even a Salman Khan film couldn’t live up to the hype and fell down head over heels at the box-office recording as one of the biggest disasters of the superstar. Akshay Kumar’s two movies did really well, but not in terms of reaching ‘Baahubali 2’ score. The distance is huge. Forget about coming close to the magic woven by Rajamouli.
