Very few people are aware of Tollywood’s big entry to the Oscars. The fact is that renowned director K Viswanath’s “Swathi Muthyam” the movie that as officially sent is as India’s entry to the Oscars in the year of 1986.
A highly successful film, “Swathi Muthyam” was South India’s second and Telugu Industry’s only movie to be ever sent for the Oscars. None of the other Telugu films have ever managed to cross this prestigious benchmark.
