The Tollywood USA box office had two new big outings this week as Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya hit the silver screens.
Comparatively, Veera Simha Reddy got off to the better start with the $708K premieres. Waltair Veerayya made $679K from the premieres.
But what’s to be noted here is that both the films garnered mixed reviews. So, it should be really interesting to see how they fare over the weekend after the strong openings.
There’s already a drop in Veera Simha Reddy’s collections as it made $79 K for on its first day, Thursday. The total tally is $779K. Waltair Veerayya day one looks promising going by early booking trend.
Can either of the films make the coveted million in the opening weekend? The coming trend this weekend will define it.
While both the films have the super lucrative Sankranthi advantage to capitalise on in India, the USA box office doesn’t provide them with the privilege. So the box office run of these two new biggie in the USA will be decided by this crucial weekend.
