Tollywood is signing off 2022 with Dhamaka and 18 Pages which are the two final mainstream outings from Telugu cinema this year. These films have registered a moderate weekend at the USA box office.
Dhamaka collected a shade over $64K at the USA box office on Sunday, taking the tally to $188K. It has registered an okayish opening weekend. There’s the menacing winter storm to contend with as well.
Then there’s 18 Pages which collected $44K on its first Sunday. The total tally for the film stands at $153K which is a decent number for the Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran starrer.
It can be understood that the Christmas weekend hasn’t been too great nor has it been completely disappointing for the two new Telugu theatricals at the USA box office.
Tollywood will close 2022 at the US box office with Adivi Sesh’s HIT 2 being its last $1 million grosser.
