It looks like there are going to be no releases in Tollywood in Dussehra. The Distributors and Exhibitors are contemplating not to open the theaters before Diwali. So far, the Distributors and Exhibitors of Uttarandhra and East Godavari have made the announcement and the rest are likely to follow.
It looks unlikely that any Telugu film will be released this October and it has to be seen if we can see new releases at least for Diwali. That means there will be no releases for Dussehra this year. Andhra Pradesh Government already released a G.O. allowing the theaters to open with 50% occupancy from October 15th.
The Theater owners of AP and Telangana are seeking exceptions like the power bill waiver in the lockdown period, bringing back Parking Charges (for Telangana) but both the Telugu Governments are silent. Ram’s Red may be the first notable release in Tollywood after theaters open.
Meanwhile, Multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh are expected to open from 15th of this month.
