Producers Council Chairman C Kalyan has interacted with the media in elaboration regarding the ongoing ticketing controversy in Andhra Pradesh. “We are badly missing Dasari Narayana Rao garu today. There is no one to lead from the industry from the front now,” C Kalyan said.
“It looks bad but to put it right, the industry has two fathers now. One father is close because films are made in Hyderabad and another father is a bit far. We are busy every day and reaching to the other father has become difficult. Hence the gap,” he revealed.
“We came up with a proposal to bring both the CMs on a single dais and felicitate them but that could not happen. Due to some issues, the CMs could not come together. Previously all the CMs would see the industry as their own since NTR time. But now the industry is divided into groups,” the producer told.
“I remember a similar G.O. has come during YSR time. We all reached out to him during the release of some Chiranjeevi film. An IAS Officer Ramanachary told the CM that increasing rates would get bad name to the Government. He said – ‘Chedda Peru vasthe naake vasthadhi kadha? Vadhileyyandi Valledho Pedda Cinema antunnaru’. But things have changed now, ” the senior producer revealed
Jagan‘s family is also into film production and exhibition. He should see these issues and help the industry,” the producer appealed. C Kalyan’s next release will be Rana’s long-delayed period film, 1945 film releasing on December 31st. His other film, Satyadev‘s Godse is being planned for January 26th release as Republic Day Special.
