Navdeep has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with the drugs case. The department has so far questioned Puri Jagannadh, Charmee, Ravi Teja, Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet Singh, Nandu in this case.
There were rumors that Calvin Mascarenhas (Kevin), the mastermind in this case, has agreed to turn approver in this case. Rumors say that some of the Tollywood and political celebrities were found in his contacts list which has led to this case.
He was also supplying drugs to software engineers and even students of some corporate schools. Calvin Mascarenhas is often misunderstood as a Nigerian. But then, he is very much a Hyderabadi. His parents are originally from Karnataka but have settled in Hyderabad a long ago.
He speaks Telugu, Kannada, English, and Hindi fluently and so, he is everywhere. He worked as a musician in a pub in Old Bowenpally when he was first arrested in 2017. The dubious transactions in Calvin’s bank accounts are being investigated by the ED.
