Telangana Government has imposed a Night curfew in the state. The curfew will be enforced from 9 PM to 5 AM the next day. It will be effective from today till May 1st. All the theaters will have to be closed by 8 PM which means the evening shows will be disrupted.
Now, even the small films lined up for this 23rd and 30th April may have to postpone or opt for OTT release. As things stand today, the single screens are going to remain shut and multiplexes may not screen more than 3 shows per screen.
Andhra Pradesh has brought in a 50% occupancy rule. That should not be a problem for the small films but then, Tahsildars have enforced evening Lockdowns in many places. That means if there are no evening shows in Telangana officially. Andhra will not have them unofficially.
Shootings are being disrupted with cases surfacing. At least half a dozen star films have come to a grinding halt in the last week. It looks like Tollywood’s worst nightmare is here.
