Tollywood box office saw a new theatrical release today as Butta Bomma, the Telugu remake of Malayalam film, Kappela hit the theaters.
The film is billed to be a rural love drama and it has a fresh premise where a phone call changed the lives of the lead pair.
Coming to the topic, the film’s post theatrical OTT streaming rights are acquired by Netflix.
Interestingly enough, the original, Kappela is also streaming on Netflix, and soon, the remake will also be streaming on the platform.
Butta Bomma features Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das and others in the lead roles and it is a content driven film.
The film is directed by Shourie Chandrashekar and it is produced by Sithara’s Naga Vamsi. It remains to be seen if Netflix will orchestrate an early OTT release for the film.
