The big players of the Tollywood Industry are in a bit of a dilemma. Recently, Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi was elected as a Union Minister and thus raising the question of whether or not he deserves a part; an issue generally discussed by trade bodies, like the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce or Producers’ Guild, but not this time.

While producer C. Kalyan, , president, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, are in favour of big party plans, an office-bearer of the guild says that the list of “true achievers” whom they could not honour is long. “For example, we could not honour ANR and veteran Krishna who bagged national-level honours.”

Another agreed saying that, “Neither the Chamber nor the Producers’ Guild took the initiative, so we have no role in it. Probably, the event (Kalyan’s party) is being done in an individual capacity and most of us may not attend it.”
