Theaters in Hyderabad are going to make up the lost collections due to the 50% occupancy rule by increasing the ticket prices for Sankranthi Releases. Theaters in RTC X Roads have already announced the price hike.
Rs 150, Rs 100, and Rs 50 will be the prices for tickets across three different classes. The prices will be as such for the first two weeks and will be back to normal after that. Theaters in other areas will follow the same. It has to be seen what the Multiplexes do.
Ravi Teja’s Krack, Ram’s Red, Vijay’s Master, and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’s Alludu Adhurs are the releases for Sankranthi. Krack is releasing on January 9th followed by Master on 13th. Red is announced on 14th and Alludu Adhurs on the 15th.
The industry is looking at the festive season to bring normalcy. But then, it can be only achieved only after 100% occupancy is allowed. That may not be possible before March, as things indicate.
