It is heard that Maruthi has penned a mass masala entertainer with enough Telugu nativity. One of the major complaints about Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam is the lack of nativity and the same is likely to be addressed with Maruthi’s film.
If we take a look at the recent trend, the Bollywood audience have developed a liking towards proper commercial Telugu films. The success of Pushpa, which has an outright rustic region-specific backdrop, in the Hindi circuit shows the same. Prabhas misinterpreted the trend and went after Bollywood-style films, while their own audience are craving for Telugu-flavored films.
The star hero can now address this aspect by rolling out a proper Telugu commercial potboiler with Maruthi, thus catering to the current requirement of the Bollywood crowd.
Another interesting aspect of the project is that it will be wrapped up at a brisk pace. Prabhas will apparently allot a few working days every month for the project in order to complete the filming at a quick rate.
The idea is to complete the project in a quick time and release it in theatres at the earliest. This could be a way for Prabhas to live up to his promise of having at least two releases in a year.
The film will have three female leads. The makers intend to announce the project very soon and commence the shoot shortly after. The onus is now on Maruthi to fulfill the ‘mass’ cravings of Prabhas’s fans across the country.
