Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda is Balayya Babu’s biggest hit to date. Even after 42 days of its release, the film is still making money in multiple areas of Telugu states. This itself proves how much the hardcore fans and masses have loved this film of Balayya.
Now, the makers of Akhanda are not done yet as they have planned a special thanks meet today in Hyderabad. This is to thank the fans for the massive success that they have given to their film.
But it is quite clear that this event is being done to target the Sankranthi season which is coming in the next few days. Apart from Bangarraju, there are no Telugu biggies that will come out on this Sankranthi and this is the perfect time to watch Akhanda again during the festive season.
Also, Akhanda will be out on the 21st of January and this is a perfect time for an OTT release as by then, the Sankranthi festival will also be done. Seeing all this Hungama, fans of Allu Arjun are sad.
Their film, Pushpa is also finding an audience during the weekends in Telugu states and is slowly growing with the Hindi version. But the regional versions of Pushpa are out on OTT and the Hindi version will be live this Friday.
So, even though Pushpa had juice in it to make some money, there is not much chance thanks to the early OTT release making the fans sad.
But Balayya’s fans are happy that their hero and his team are doing everything to keep their film in the news and also make money out of it.
