Suriya has been in the news when he went for an OTT release for his wife Jyothika’s film’, ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’. The Theatre owners threatened him that they wouldn’t allow the release of his upcoming films in the theatres if he chooses a digital release.
Nonetheless, Suriya went ahead with direct OTT release and earned their ire. Now, they seem to be holding the grudge and that might directly reflect on Suriya’s next movie ‘Soorarai Pottru‘ that is said to be one of the ambitious projects that would put him in the success path, once again.
However, the theatre owners association is still to meet and decide yet about the fate of the Tamil star’s films and their theatrical release prospects as they were angered big time.
But, eventually, there might be some compromise on both the sides as angering a star hero with a certain market wouldn’t be doing them any good, either way. Let’s wait and see how they would respond once the theatres open for real.
