Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce Members met with Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and submitted a memorandum to look into the theaters opening. With the assurance of the minister, theater owners have agreed to open the theaters in Telangana from tomorrow.
Theaters will open with 100% occupancy from tomorrow. However, with no content to screen, theater management will have to screen old films. Only a few theaters will open and all the theaters will open only when the new releases arrive. Satyadev’s Thimmarusu is the first notable film to announce its arrival on the 30th of this month.
We will have to see if any film will arrive on July 23rd. Filmmakers are waiting for further clarity about the theaters re-opening in Andhra Pradesh to make their announcements. As of today, the evening and night shows in East and West Godavari districts are not allowed.
Meanwhile, Big films will also have to worry about the low ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh.
