Solo Brathuke So BetterIn less than three weeks from today, the first noticeable film from Telugu cinema will hit the cinemas in the post-pandemic world. It is still a trial process, and one is not sure about the response.

The film in question is Sai Dharam Tej starrer Solo Brathuke So Better. We have to say kudos to the makers for taking the brave step. Someone has to take it after a point. If luck in on their side, they could have a clean run for three weeks until the Sankranthi season.

While the release of Solo Brathuke So Better is appreciated, its pre-release business has come as a shock to many. Will it be the new norm or if things would improve later needs to be seen.

Sai Dharam Tej’s last flick is the commercially successful Prati Roju Pandage. It came on the back of another success (Chitralahari) and a good combination (with director Maruthi). It managed an 18 Cr business worldwide.

One of the territories, Uttar Andhra, was taken for 2 Cr approximately, back then. The same area is now grabbed for 80 lakhs. Yes, it is that low. Even the Telugu state’ rights are reportedly snapped for a meagre amount of 8 Cr.

Only after the release and the run of Solo Brathuke So Better, can one gauge if the business is done correctly or not. The youthful entertainer starring Sai Dharam Tej and Nabha Natesh will hit the screens on December 25th. A newcomer Subbu directs it. BVSN Prasad produces the flick.
