The Rise of new trend in Tollywood

Blockbuster Tollywood films have a history of being remade in other languages. However, slowly but surely, there is a new trend rising. The trend is that these days even small budget Telugu films are finding takers in other regional film industries as well as Bollywood. Case in point is Nithiin – Nithya Menen starrer Gunde Jari Gallanthayyinde which is being remade in no less than four languages including Tamil, Kananda and Hindi. Its debutante director also added the information that they are also negotiating with a few Bengali filmmakers in addition to the above.

But this film is not just an exception. In fact, the remake rights of Sudheer Varma’s ‘Tarantinoesque’ crime comedy, Swamy Ra Ra is being bidden on from filmmakers of Tamil, Kannada and Oriya film industries. It is confirmed therefore that the T-town is seeing the rise of a new trend.
