The most eagerly awaited press meet of RRR featuring the director, producer and the lead stars took place in Hyderabad. Here are the nine major highlights from the get together with the scribes.
1. Putting an end to the speculations, Alia Bhatt gets confirmed as the heroine. She plays a crucial role in changing the course of the story and is paired opposite Ram Charan. Daisy Edger Jones plays the other female lead pairing with Jr NTR. Ajay Devgn is roped in for a powerful critical character. He would appear in the flashback portions. Samuthirakani’s presence is already officially known. They are the main pillars of RRR.
2. The title of the movie is officially confirmed as RRR in all languages. The makers have an expansion in mind but are open to suggestions from the audience. If it is better than what they have in mind, the RRR team will use it.
3. The release date of RRR is locked on July 30th 2020. It will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and other languages at the same time.
4. RRR is an entirely fictional story based on real-life legendary personalities Alluri Seetaramarju and Komaram Bheem. It is the story of the legends before they become legends. The Motorcycle Dairies movie is the inspiration for the idea, said the director.
5. The budget of RRR is likely to be between 350Cr to 400Cr. RRR wouldn’t have happened if either of the stars, Jr NTR or Ram Charan rejected the role.
6. There will be lots of visual effects in RRR. The VFX will be to create a realistic atmosphere rather than create a larger than life fantasy extravaganza.
7. The names in the movie stars in titles will appear in the order of appearance of the characters in RRR.
8. There will be no promo materials (posters) from RRR in 2019 for the respective star’s birthdays.
9. Mahabharat (a series of films on it) will be my last film(s) confirmed SS Rajamouli.
