Initially there were a lot of questions and confusion regarding the choice of cast in the latest remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Zanzeer. According to sources, the first choice for the male lead in this movie was Sanjay Dutt but he backed out due to some date problems. But according to latest reports Sanjay has agreed to take on the lead role in the Bollywood version of the movie.
Director Amit Mehra said that, “Sanjay Dutt has always been our first choice. We are glad that he is part of our film. Initially, he had dates problem but now it’s sorted and he is playing Sher Khan in the Hindi version and Sonu Sood will be playing Sher Khan in the Telugu version.”
Zanzeer is a highly anticipated remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s sensation hit Zanzeer which came out in 1993. In the direction of Apoorva Lakhia, and with stars like Ram Charan Teja and Bollywood girl Priyanka Chopra in the lead, who play the role of Vijay and Mala, the movie is expected to be released early next year.
