We do not know who started this trend but a day after websites start reporting the number of views for that particular teaser. Slowly, this became a craze and fans and makers started boasting of number of views.
This does not end there Fans resort using dubious algorithms which play videos on loop and get more youtube views. There are also numerous websites which give views after paying some price and this is also being employed. As it says, fans get one more reason to boast off and fight each others.
