Born and brought up in Hanmakonda, director Sampath Nandi was instantly taken in by his first film as an audience, Yamudiki Mogudu and became a huge fan of the actor Chiranjeevi. This is probably where this director’s fascination for movies comes from.
In Nandi’s own words, “My first film as an audience was Yamudiki Mogudu and I became an instant fan of Chiranjeevi and started watching all his movies. I started analyzing films over a period of time from the writer’s perspective. I used to like progressive and entertaining dialogues of Posani Krishna Murali and got hold of his number from a film diary. I asked him if I can join him as an assistant.”
This is how Nandi got into the business of making films. Later, he went on to do further projects, making mistakes along the way.
