Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi, the biopic on late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, is having its theatrical release on September 10, on the festive day of Vinayaka Chavithi. Directed by AL Vijay, the film is one of the look forward ones by the movie buffs as it chronicles the important pages from the late CM’s life.
Meanwhile, ahead of its theatrical release, the film OTT platform has been locked. Thalaivi is releasing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. And its Telugu OTT platform has been locked with a tentative arrival date.
Thalaivi Telugu version will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video, which will have its OTT run after four weeks of its theatrical release which means that it would stream on Amazon in October second week.
The film in fact had got an enticing offer for direct-to-OTT release, but with things back to normalcy and the potential the film has to bring good footfalls in theaters, the makers opted for theatrical release only.
Apart from Kangana, the film stars prominent faces like Arvind Swamy, Madhoo among others.
