Tollywood disaster 2016Its that time of the year where we look at the best and worst of year. First let us look at the absolute worse of the year from business standpoint.

The debut of new hero from Akkineni family, Akhil was massively hyped. The combination with director VV Vinayak who previously made a strong debut vehicle added a lot to the hype. But the final output was nowhere near anyone’s worse expectations. The result was after decent opening on day 1, the film completely crashed. The fact that in its full run Akhil couldn’t collect its opening day number should be enough to imagine the situation.

The Ram Charan starrer was meant to change his fate in overseas and add new dimension to him. Forget the dimension, the way the film opened in overseas has almost put an unforgettable scar on the star for his overseas status. The status in the two Telugu states was only slightly better but the talk and general buzz on Ram Charan has been nothing short of absolute disaster.

Actor’s Ram’s film Sravanthi Movies banner with a super hit album generated quite a good buzz on this film. However the way the film turned out it was termed as the worse film on the banner with more than two decades of history. Ram’s box office standing post a mild success of Pandaga Chesko was completely dented with this disaster of a film.
