Telugu industry to remain shut on Thursday for ANR
Following the death of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who died in Hyderabad Wednesday, Telugu film industry will shut down all its activities on Thursday as a mark of respect for the icon. All activities related to the industry have also been suspended today.

Union Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi, veteran actors G. Krishna, Jamuna, Murali Mohan and Krishnam Raju, famous filmmakers Dasari Narayana Rao, D. Ramanaidu, actors Mohan Babu, Harikrishna, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha, Jayasudha, Junior N.T Rama Rao, Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh, Meka Srikant, Mahesh Babu, his wife Namrata Shirodkar, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Anushka Shetty and others paid tributes to the late actor, whose body has been kept at Annapurna Studios.

The passing of ANR has stunned the entire film industry. Mohan Babu recalled him as one of the eyes of Telugu industry, other eye being N.T Rama Rao. He added that had it not been for NTR and ANR, Telugu industry wouldn’t exist today.
