The Telugu version of the Indian Idol singing reality show is currently streaming on Aha Video. With 12 participants and 3 judges, the show is getting a good appreciation in the Telugu states. The show has now reached the next level and the current theme for the episode is ‘Superheroes’ round. The voting lines also began with this episode.
*Participant 1 – Renu*
Renu crooned Ethara Jendra from the film RRR. He sang it so well and the judges have given him positive compliments. There is a lot of energy in his voice and he made sure it came out.
For him, the superhero is his friend. Talking about them, he became emotional.
Judge Karthik called it a ‘Seetimaar’ performance.
*Participant 2 – Vaishnavi*
Vaishnavi sang the ‘Saami’ song from Pushpa: The Rise. At the age of 16, she is giving a tough fight to others in the competition. The judges liked her performance and unanimously called it a “Bomma Blockbuster’ performance.
For her, there are three superheroes. One is her mother and the other two are her uncles.
*Participant 3 – Jayanth*
Jayanth crooned Mass Maranam from Petta. He put an energetic performance but the judges asked him to focus more on the songs that will bring his voice out. They appreciated him and his performance but told him that he need to come up with songs that are tougher.
*Participant 4 – Aditi Bhavaraju*
The already playback singer sang ‘Ennallaku Gurtochana Vana’ from the film Varsham. Thaman complimented Aditi that she sang well. Nithya too told her that it is quite commendable for her to come and participate here despite knowing that she will be judged a lot.
Aditi’s father has come to the stage and shared his happiness.
Her father is her superhero.
*Participant 5 – Vagdevi*
Vagdevi picked a tough song, Bellary Bava from Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Not only Vagdevi, but all the judges too enjoyed her performance. Thaman said that it is an ‘Out of the park’ performance.
For her, mother is a superhero. As a surprise, Vagdevi’s mother has been invited on to the stage to share a few words about her. Vagdevi’s sister Vaishnavi who earlier came for the auditions also came to the stage and gave special sweets to the judges.
*Participant 6 – Maruthi*
Maruthi crooned Kalibo Chedugudu from the film Sakhi. His voice is beautiful and the judges complimented him the same. For Maruthi, Indian Idol Telugu is the superhero.
