Known faces of Tollywood gracing the judges’ space, The debut OTT version of Indian Idol Telugu is getting a good response from the viewers. The official version of the Indian Idol is currently streaming on Aha Video with Sreerama Chandra as the show host and Thaman, Karthik, and Nithya Menen as the judges for the TV show.
Indian Idol Episode 13 started on a funny note, with Singer Jayanth taking over Sree Ramachandra’s host place. Later Sree Rama Chandra made his entrance complaining that Jayanth planned to Kidnap him. The show went on a quite rocking manner with a lot of blockbuster performances
Top of all, Promoting the Ghani movie, mega prince Varun Tej made an enlightening presence in the show. Judges Thaman, Nithya Menon and Karthik had a great time on the sets along with him. Interesting is that Thaman scored music for the Ghani movie and received rave reviews.
Here are the few moments from Indian Idol Varun Tej’s special episode that stood out for the viewers:
Participant 1: Lalasa
Lalasa has kick-started the show with the song ” Bhoom Bhaddhal,” from the Kick movie. She sang it in a rocking way and received the ‘Bomma Blockbuster’ tag from the judges. Sree Rama Chandra being “Mamayya ” to Lalasa, Thaman asked her to share some interesting facts about him. She narrated a sweet sugar story that happened in their childhood and concluded it in an adorable way saying her “Mamayya ” is an inspiration to her.
Participant 2: Sake Renukumar
Sake Renukumar crooned the recent super-hit song Kalaavati from the movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata. All the three Judges gave a positive response, with Karthik praising him that the best compliment Renukumar could get would be from the original composer Thaman, saying that Renukumar is original in his edition.
Participant 3: Aditi Bhavaraju
Aditi Bhavaraju, in this episode, has brought out a pleasant performance with the ‘Yedho Adahame’ song from the film Ok Bangaram.
Everyone praised her phenomenal performance and marked it as a “Bomma BlockBuster”. After her performance, she shared a funny incident that took place between Indian Idol participants because of Jayanth. She said that Jayanth lied to all the crew that he had a seminar in college and went for Bheemla Nayak’s first-day show. This injected good laughter in all the people present on the stage.
Participant 4: Pranati
Pranati gained special compliments from Nithya Menon that she is a versatile singer, by singing a song, “Race Gurram ” from Race Gurram Movie. With a lot of compliments from all the three judges, she also bagged the “Bomma Blockbuster” performance tag. Later, at the request of Nitya Menon, she imitated singer Lalasa’s hand gestures while humming the songs. Karthika, as the compensation for his mistake of forgetting Pranati’s name, said all the Pranati’s family members’ names.
Participant 5: Maruthi
Maruthi picked the “Nakaoka Girlfriend” song from the movie Boys, which was originally sung by judge Karthik. The judges liked it and Karthik gave a Laddu to Maruthi after which both Thaman and Karthik danced on stage to this song.
Participant 6: Manya Chandran
With the entrance of Varun Tej, while the stage is on fire, Manya arrived in western wear and crooned the “Sarinodu” song from the movie “Sarinoodu”. She shared the reason behind her transformation after her performance. She said that she wore saree initially, but later changed to western wear as she wanted to follow the way of Saipallavi in Fidaa. She added that she became fidaa for Varun, from the movie Fidaa and proposed to him with a flower and poem, composed from all his movie names. However, she got a good response from the judges for her performance and everyone expressed their surprise at her transformation for Varun.
*Highlights*
-After the performance of RenuKumar, Taman shared about the Kalavathi social media viral video in which he danced to the song. “I asked Sekhar Master to join me in dance as it would be a viral fever video instead of viral video, If I made a solo performance” Thaman Said.
-Thaman called Karthik onto the stage, and then both tapped their foot for the Kalavathi song.
-Thaman and Karthik also did a dance for the Boys’ movie Girlfriend song, which created a funny environment with Nithya Menon judging their performance.
-Varun Tej said he likes all the participants of Indian Idol but Jayanth is his special one.
The next episode will be Varun Tej’s special with all the singers blasting the show with his high-energetic movie songs.
