Telugu Films Reap A Fortune in 66th National Film AwardsThe 66th National Film awards were announced by Rahul Rawail, head of the Jury for feature films a little while ago. Awards are given in 31 categories in the feature film category. Telugu films have reaped a fortune in the awards this time by winning Seven Awards in various categories.

Mahanati has managed to win three awards. The movie is adjudged The Best Film in Telugu. The movie also got the award in the Best Costumes category. Keerthy Suresh who breathed life into the character of Mahanati Savitri was adjudged the Best Actress across the nation.

Natural Star Nani’s maiden production venture, Awe! managed two awards. The movie has got the Best Make-Up award and Best VFX award. Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and Sushanth – Rahul Ravindran’s Chi La Sow managed one award each. Rangasthalam has got Best Sound Mixing Award and Chi La Sow has got the award in Best Original Screenplay category.

Kannada film, KGF which was very successful in Telugu got the Best Action Film Award.
