It isn’t wise to address too sensitive topics in a half-baked manner. And particularly so if you’re working in a powerful film industry such as Tollywood. Well, sensible filmmaker, Mohan Krishna is getting to learn it the hard way.
Keeping the disastrous result of Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali aside, Mohan Krishna has rubbed many Telugu producers on the wrong side.
There is a scene in the film where Sudheer Babu, who plays a film director in the film, says his producer will give his girlfriend a chance in the film only if she sleeps with him.
While Mohan Krishna might’ve used this dialogue for fictional purpose, it appears to have come out badly. Tollywood producers are now taking offense to this dialogue and narrative. A producer named Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy has stated that Mohan Krishna shouldn’t written a scene like this one.
“How can it be fair to be working in the Telugu film industry and making derogatory scenes on the very same industry? This is below-the-belt stuff from the director” Producers say.
Mohan Krishna hasn’t yet responded to the criticism from producers.
