Telugu actress set for women-centric roles
If not strong female roles, Telugu actresses are gearing up for some women-centric roles in a host of horror films. From Taapsee to Anjali to Nithya Menen, these actresses are all set to hog the limelight with their roles. While all these films may not necessarily be women-centric films but have strong female lead roles.

Tapsee will be seen playing the lead in Lawrence’s Ganga (sequel to Kanchana). She is believed to be playing the ghost in the film and apparently she took a month to give her nod for the film. Anjali, who is making a comeback after he disappearance controversy, will be seen in a horror-comedy, which will be presented by writer Kona Venkat. Anjali said she agreed to do the film because she was told that her role will be remembered for a very long time after the release of the film.

Newcomer Swathy is gearing up to play a possessed girl in Ram Gopal Varma’s Patta Pagalu. She said said such strong character-driven roles don’t come by very often and that’s precisely why she agreed to do the film.
