While superstars such as Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan will continue to rule the Telugu industry because of the background they come from but 2013 witnessed the rise of a few heroes who are likely to make it big in filmdom, provided they choose their films little carefully.
Sumanth Ashwin: He may not have had a successful debut with Tuneega Tuneega, but mark my words, this lad is going to go places. Sumanth made a strong comeback in Anthaku Mundhu Aa Taravatha and proved that he can sustain in the industry despite a bad start.
Nikhil Siddhartha: He was an ignorant young chap in Happy Days and in few other films after that. But he underwent a makeover in Swamy Ra Ra and caught everybody’s attention. Nikhil proved that he can act too with his ability to carry himself with elan.
Sundeep Kishan: An actor’s ability is not always measured by the number of hits he delivers, but by his varied performances. Since his debut in Sneha Geetham, Sundeep has always tried to go against the grain. Be it his negative role in Prasthanam or his rural avatar in Gundello Godari, he stood out. Watch out for him!
Other actors with notable performances in 2013 include Sudheer Babu for Prema Katha Chitram, Nithiin Reddy for Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde and Naveen Chandra for Dalam.
