Telangana film chamber of commerce has become more active than the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce after the second wave. The popular perception is that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce is more of Andhra film chamber of commerce even though the name suggests differently.
Telangana film chamber of commerce has risen to the occasion trying to stall films towards OTT when a biggie (of Telugu Film Chamber) like Suresh Babu himself is pushing three of his films to OTT platforms. Meanwhile, the Telangana film chamber has now written a letter to the Telangana government with various demands for the revival of theaters.
The chamber has listed out demands like the implementation of G.O. MS 75 dates 23rd June 2017, bring back the parking charges, waive off the minimum demand electricity charges during the shutdown period, waiver of property tax for two years, and reduction in the GST and asked the government to consider them sympathetically.
If the biggies of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce also accelerate the efforts with the AP and Telangana governments, the industry will get the much-needed boost after more than one year of struggle due to the pandemic.
