Few months ago, Hyderabad High Court had hit the Telangana government with brickbats over its FAST scheme which guarantees government aide to those students whose families were settled in Telangana before 1956, the year of United State existence. During that case, the court commented very harsh not to think Telangana as a separate country and the government’s actions are anti-national.
However Telangana government is still insisting on this clause in all possible ways. We are said that instructions have gone to all departments to give contracts only to Telangana born contracts. The officials were asked to prune any tenders or proposals from non-Telangana contractors particularly those from Andhra.
In such a way, government can also make sure the AP-Telangana ire keeps going and also they groom their own contractors who will help the party later on during the elections.All these were happening on oral instructions so as not to give chance to any one to oppose it legally. However in one of the government advertisements in Eenadu Newspaper, it is openly mentioned that Telangana born contractors will have to apply.
