BJP is making inroads to Telangana Politics in recent times. The party after the Dubbaka and GHMC Elections is confident of coming to power in 2023. It is keen on winning the upcoming Nagarjunasagar By-election after the loss in recent MLC Elections.
But then, the Saffron Party is traditionally weak in the constituency and is unlikely to give competition to the TRS and Congress there. So, the party is keen on bringing Teenmaar Mallanna and give him Nagarjunasagar By-election ticket. Teenmaar Mallanna contested from Nalgonda-Waranagal-Mahabubnagar MLC Seat as independent.
He gave tough competition to the TRS candidate. He came second ahead of the BJP, Congress candidates and Prof Kodandaram. The entire state is seeing Mallanna as a hero and BJP wants him in their fold to win Nagarjunasagar. But then, Mallanna wants the neutral image and is not ready to join any political party now.
The voting for Nagarjunasagar By-election will happen on April 17th. March 30th is the last date of nominations. The counting will take place on May 2nd and the results will be out on the same day.
