After telling entertaining and pakka commercial stories for the big screen, blockbuster director Harish Shankar is now all set to give us a taste of a raw and dramatic heist story on OTT. The ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ director and prominent producer Dil Raju have announced that ‘ATM’, their debut OTT project, will stream on ZEE5 from January 20.
Marking the OTT entry of Bigg Boss Telugu 5 title winner VJ Sunny, ‘ATM’ is about small men, big dreams and bigger conspiracies. The series’ teaser was today launched by presenter and writer Harish Shankar, who described its story as a delicious blend of situational comedy and a riveting cat-and-mouse game.
Who doesn’t want a Nawabi life? Our protagonist wants one and he makes it clear at the outset. Subbaraju’s character is seen thrusting himself into the plot in an intriguing turn of events. Also featuring Krishna, Raviraj, Roiel Shree, Divi, Divya Vani and several others, the ZEE5 original is directed by C Chandra Mohan.
Producer Harshith Reddy suggested that the petty thieves around whom the heist drama is centered may have been trapped by powerful individuals who exploit them for selfish reasons. A multi-crore heist and a struggle for survival thicken the plot.
With music by Prashant R Vihari, the original was shot in realistic locations.
