Nandamuri Balakrishna has invited Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to his Unstoppable show. The show has become a sensation in Andhra Pradesh Politics and made the Ruling Party unsettled.
The amount of reaction it has derived for the YCP leaders and the fact a simple OTT show Promo is trending #1 on YouTube India Trends list indicates the impact it has created on the Politics and General Public.
Balakrishna has touched a serious topic like 1995 NTR’s coup and even made the otherwise silent Chandrababu to talk and clarify the allegations. Balayya even lent his support on the behalf of Nandamuri family on that issue.
In a way, Balakrishna had taken a huge risk. It is not easy to throw his weight behind Chandrababu on such crucial event. TDP’s Opposition will try to corner him for the rest of the life using the issue.
But then, Balayya kept his own reputation and Political future at stake and sent an indication that the interests of the party is paramount to him.
“That is the major difference between NTR and Balakrishna. NTR is calculative even while responding to crucial issues like abuse of NTR’s daughter and NTR University name change. He is always cautious about not hurting Jagan. Balayya on the other hand took the party side entirely. That’s way hard-core TDP fans prefer Balayya over Junior,” TDP supporters are saying.
While it is understandable that Balakrishna has made TDP fans happy, it is too harsh for them to expect NTR to behave in a way that would impact his career for no reason. One should remember Balakrishna is a Politician but NTR is not.
