Without doubt one can surely say that the number of movies made in Tollywood and Kollywood compete with the number of movies made in Bollywood. For any regional film industry, the figure is really very high to be in par with Bollywood’s movies. When Tollywood moved from Chennai to Hyderabad, it was just a begining and the cine biggies and stalwarts had to face a lot of hardships to make the industry to settle down in Hyderabad. But after the division of AP, Tollywood is at cross roads because of the ambiguity regarding the issue of Teganites and Andhras.
After a lot of hide and seek type of game, Telangana CM KCR assured that film industry from Hyderabad is going nowhere and his government will provide all the necessary facilities to see that Cine Industry progresses here. He even promised alloting 200 acres of land for film city in Hyderabad. He said that his dream is to make Hyderabad the Cinema Hub. Still there is ambiguity amongst cine folks whether to stay here or would they have to move away to another place in AP.
On Tuesday. The IT Minister of Telangana K.Taraka Ramarao (KTR) attended the cine launch event of ‘Tippu’. This event happened in Ramanaidu Studio. Distributor DV Sitarama Raju’s (Vizag) son Karthik is making his debut with this movie. On AP Minister Ayyanna Patrudu’s invitation, KTR attended the launch. Speaking at the event, KTR expressed his desire to see the Telugu Film Industry flourishing in both the regions aka Hyderabad and Vizag. He reiterated that they are committed on making Hyderabad the International Level Cinema Hub.
KTR desiring to make Hyderabad International Cinema Hub and at the same time hoping Telugu Film Industry to flourish in Vizag even seems to be contradicting earlier assurance given by CM KCR. Ramanaidu Studios belongs to Daggubati family and KTR attending the function on the invitation of an AP Minister is certainly seen as a new move by the young minister. Seems the young minister is going for a more diplomatic move comparitively.
