Seems B’Town which saw Tapsee Pannu in a mind blowing avatar in the recent Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Baby’ is in awe of the actress. If reports are to be believed, Tapsee has bagged a biggie opposite none other than Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan. And she wouldn’t be playing his romantic interest but his daughter in his upcoming biopic ‘Dangal’.
Aamir Khan is going to play the real life character of a wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, the father of Olympic medal winning sisters, women wrestlers Geetha Phogat and Babitha Kumari Phogat. And if the rumours are to be believed, Tapsee would play Geetha Phogat who won the Olympic gold in wrestling category.
Mahavir Singh Phogat, a wrestler himself trained his daughters in wrestling against the wishes and threats of the people of his community and village and encouraged his daughters to take up wrestling which is primarily considered a male sport denied for women. If Tapsee really gets to essay the role of Geetha Phogat, then she can be rest assured that she hit a jackpot in Bollywood. Playing an important character alongside Aamir Khan isn’t a small thing.
