Tamil Superstar Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru (Aakasam Nee Haddura in Telugu) has released directly on Amazon Prime Video last year and is one of the rarest OTT release Blockbusters. Now, another film of Suriya is also taking the OTT Release route.
The movie, Jai Bhim is also arriving directly on Amazon Prime Video. The OTT Major has announced that the film will have its Global OTT Premiere on November 2nd as Diwali Special. With theatrical business slowly springing back to normal, Jai Bhim may be the last major Direct-to-OTT release. Amazon would love to round it off with another Blockbuster like Soorarai Pottru.
Directed by TS Gnanavel, Suriya plays a lawyer who strives for the downtrodden sections of the society following the footsteps of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The movie is titled as such as ‘Jai Bhim’ – the slogan of the followers of Ambedkar.
Rajisha Vijayan will be seen as the female lead in this film which has Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, Sanjay Swaroop playing crucial roles. Suriya himself produces Jai Bhim on his 2D Entertainment Banner.
