Santhanam without any doubt is the top Tamil comedian at the moment. The comedian has been credited with many successful films in recent past where he has been the single driving factor for the audience to come to cinema. With such a pedigree behind him, it wasn’t going to take too long for the comedian to turn a lead actor and turn he did with the film Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, remake of Telugu film Maryada Ramanna.
The film which was slated to open next week opened a week earlier thanks to the delay of the film Kochadaiiyaan starring Rajinikanth. However even with the sudden change in date at last minute and arriving in a hurried way, the film has taken superb opening. What is even more commendable is that it is continuing with great collections despite receiving mixed reactions as well, highlighting the stardom the Santhanam enjoys. We have to see if the he can pull the film to safety nets with the current talk on the film and heavy releases scheduled ahead.
