Tamil Arjun Reddy (Adithya Varma) Gets Pin Drop Silence While both the Telugu original ‘Arjun Reddy’ and it’s Hindi remake ‘Kabir Singh’ was mired in controversies for their misogynistic stance, the controversies and debates on the same helped the movies big time.

Tamil ‘Arjun Reddy’ aka ‘Adithya Varma‘ is out after facing a lot of release hurdles and also going through shoot twice with two different directors. Performance-wise, Dhruv Vikram stayed faithful to the original though he couldn’t come out of Vijay Deverakonda’s shadow.

One thing that surprised us is the pin-drop silence on ‘Adithya Varma’. Both ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ feasted on controversies that gave them free publicity, but ‘Adithya Varma’ isn’t going that way though the makers used those controversial parts as they were like in the original.

The same attitude of the protagonist and the same misogynist stance is there in ‘Adithya Varma’ as well and without tweaks. Those numerous TV debates are missing in this case, surprisingly.

Actually, those controversies would have helped the movie big time and also got it free publicity. So, what happened and how did it happen that there was no debate on those toxic masculinity scenes that were found to be a problem in the original? Bizarre!
