She faced the wrath of Telangana last year when her film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu was stopped from playing in theaters as it mocked the Telangana movement, and now Tamannah was mobbed by anti-Telangana activists who wanted her to comment on the division of the state.

Apparently, she was asked to chant in favour of Andhra Pradesh, but she refused to do so as she treats everybody equally. She pleaded not be drawn into such matters and her focus is only on working in films.

She is the first of the actors to face the wrath of Telangana divide, and we are likely to see more such experiences coming to limelight. It shouldn’t surprise us if sooner or later North Indian actors are asked not to work in Telugu films.
