Talk: Too Late, Too Ambitious for Pan-India Image Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is coming up with an interesting film Tiger Nageswara Rao to be directed by Vamsee, while Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts produces it on a huge scale.

The pre-look teaser, which was revealed recently, received decent appreciation from all quarters. The film is being projected as a pan India project which is making things a little undigestible.

The magnanimous success of films like Baahubali, Pushpa, and RRR have elevated our Tollywood stars as pan India stars, but the same success can’t be achieved by everyone. Especially by someone who is past his prime.

Ravi Teja has got a decent face value because of his dubbed movies on YouTube, but that is not enough to project Tiger Nagswara Rao as a pan-India film. His last film Khiladi was also dubbed into Hindi, and the collections didn’t even cross 50 Lakhs in Hindi.

Even Megastar Chiranjeevi failed miserably with Sye Raa in 2019 when he tried to achieve a pan India star status because the North audience rejected an over-aged hero. That holds good for Ravi Teja as well as many on social media feel that it’s too late for him now to create a market in the North like Prabhas, NTR, Allu Arjun, or Ram Charan.

But there are many who also feel that the story of Tiger Nageswara Rao is exciting, and it can engage the masses in the North just like Pushpa did with its rustic and engaging screenplay and characters. The film is produced by Abhishek Aggarwal, who just delivered an unprecedented blockbuster like The Kashmir Files. The makers have roped in a heroine like Nupur Sanon (sister of Kriti Sanon), who is well known in the North.

Let’s hope Ravi Teja achieves the unimaginable and prove his critics wrong with TNR!
