SS Rajamouli redefined immersive filmmaking with Bahaubali duology. The two-part film was a brilliant blend of grandeur, VFX, and emotional storytelling. Now, Bollywood is attempting something on similar lines with Bramhastra.
Bramhastra has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, and others in the lead roles. This is one of Bollywood’s true pan-India attempts.
However, the glimpse of Bramhastra that was dropped earlier today has turned out to be a damp squib. Netizens are criticizing every aspect of the glimpse.
“The makers said they worked on the project for many years. Given the substandard video that was released today, one has to wonder what took them so long to deliver a substandard product like this,” a netizen commented.
“Have you seen Rajamouli‘s films? He blends grandeur with immersive storytelling. While he is delivering Baahubali and RRR, Bollywood is rolling out second-rate content like Bramhastra. Bollywood is clearly falling flat before Rajamouli. Just look at the tacky VFX. A mid-range Telugu film has better VFX than Bramhastra glimpse,” a Telugu netizen commented.
