Ravi Babu has entertained audiences not only as an actor but as a director too. More often than not, the majority of his films have a thriller or horror touch. And Avunu is one such film which did fairly well.
Avunu deals with the concept of a ghost which dwells in a house and the problems faced by a couple. But not many know the story behind or the inspiration for this film. Screenwriter Nivas has opened up on the back story of Avunu, where he said that the film story is inspired by his real-life incident.
Ravi Babu worked on the idea and the film later turned out to be a hit. Down the lane, Ravi Babu discussed his plans of making Avunu 2. However, screenwriter Nivas said that the concept won’t be believable and audience won’t relate it as a sequel.
“Despite warning him, Ravi Babu was hellbent on making a sequel and he went ahead. He didn’t pay any heed to what I said. Eventually the box-office result showed it tanked. In fact, for both the parts I didn’t take credits,” says the screenwriter.
