Two senior talented actresses aka Vijayashanthi and Tabu were part of two biggies that came for this Sankranthi. They came to Telugu films after a long gap and let’s see if they delivered what the audiences expected from them and if the filmmakers could come up with author-backed roles for these senior stars.
‘Sarileru Neekevvaru‘ has Vijayashanthi who was once the Lady Superstar of Tollywood and has the caliber to attract the audiences with her presence. She has a decent length in the movie but, nothing extraordinary.
There is nothing memorable for her in the movie but her screen presence has helped the movie to some extent, for sure. On the other hand, Tabu who can command decent attention from the audiences has got a brief role in ‘Ala Vaikumthapurramloo‘.
She can just boast about being part of Trivikram’s movie, but her character feels unfinished and doesn’t even register. After some time, it didn’t matter if she is a part of the film. Hers was a brief role with no impact.
So, what did the senior stars gain from the Sankranthi biggies? Vijayashanthi has got a decent role and Tabu’s role didn’t register, even. Nothing memorable for the two talented actresses who can deliver big if given author-backed roles.
