Over the past few years, actress Taapsee has developed a new firebrand image for her. She doesn’t hold back and delivers punches in return when anyone takes a pot-shot at her.
Taapsee’s fieriness has put her in direct contention with another actress with the same image. It is none other than Kangana Ranaut. The latter never misses an opportunity to make snide remarks at Tapsee whom she refers to as a cheap copy of her.
Recently, in the ongoing nepotism debate, Kangana said that Taapsee and Swara Bhaskar (another vocal actress) are b-grade actresses doing b-grade films. It is because they suck up to Karan Johar and the ilk. They (Tapsee and Swara) are better than Alia Bhatt and Ananya Pandey, and should have got better projects, according to Kangana.
Taapsee is not one to take things lying down, and she had a hilarious reply to the jibe. The Pink actress jokingly said that after 10th and 12th standard, the results, and grades of the Bollywood actresses too are out. She asked if they would be made official or not? Continuing further, Tapsee added that she though numbers (as in box office figures) decided the value of the actors.
This incident isn’t the first time Taapsee has given it back. She is pretty vocal in issues like this. A reply is ready as and when anything comes in her radar. It is working for her and adds to her following. The irony here though is that both are outsiders and they are fighting among themselves.
