'Saandh-Ki-Aankh'-came-out-recently-andThe trailer of Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Saandh Ki Aankh’ came out recently and audiences are loving the women empowerment concept. Taapsee and Bhumi Pednekar are seen playing two sharpshooters who are above 60 years old.

Young heroines playing old women with tacky makeup is drawing criticism. There are many talented senior actresses like Neena Gupta, Ramya Krishnan and Shabana Azmi who would have fit the bill perfectly. In particular, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli has been bashing the makers for choosing younger heroines.

She has got a point as older actresses with popularity would have been chosen but her overtly bashing nature isn’t going well and the issue is being ignored because of her personal animosity towards Taaspee.

Rangoli always claimed that Taapsee has been getting fame with characters rejected by her sister Kangana, and even ‘Saandh Ki Aankh’ was said to be rejected by Kangana. So, criticism coming from her has the issue diverted.

However, senior actress Neena Gupta echoed the same criticism when she said, “At least cast for the parts that suit our age.” With increasing criticism over the choice of much younger heroines playing double their age, Taapsee had to put up a lengthy tweet as a counter to the criticism.
