Actress Taapsee has landed herself in yet another controversy. It is again due to her newfound developed personality of the bold and fearless. However, unlike some other occasions, she is getting called out for hypocrisy this time.
To those who are still living under the rocks, a new controversy has erupted in Bollywood, and it has a Telugu connection. Actress Payal Ghosh who was seen in Telugu movies Prayanam and Oosaravelli has accused critically acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault.
Payal Ghosh said that Anurag Kashyap has asked for sexual favours. She further mentioned that according to the director actress Richa Chadda, Huma Qureshi and Mahi Gill were just a call away, and that she could join them and get settled in the industry. Payal Ghosh has brought Me Too allegations for the fore again.
It is in this controversy that Taapsee butted in and shared her comments. She expressed solidarity with Anurag Kashyap who has been defending himself anyways. Taapsee said that Anurag Kashyap is the biggest feminist she knows.
The problem here, and netizens were quick to point out, is that in the past, Tapsee said that the whole movement becomes embarrassing when women are against each other. She is doing precisely that here, and hence the actress is getting trolled for her hypocritical statements.
