After the phenomenal success of Baahubali, Prabhas’ choices mostly have been disappointing. And there is one common thing about all of his films post-Baahubali, the T-series association.
T-series has been involved with all of Prabhas’ projects after Baahubali, be it Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and now Adipurush. We all know what epic disappointments Saaho and Radhe Shyam turned out to be! And going by the initial response to the teaser released yesterday, many are afraid that Adipurush will also join that unfortunate list.
The teaser of Adipurush left everyone heartbroken. With the kind of budget at their disposal, Om Raut and his team could have come up with a world-class mythological visual spectacle. But the film’s teaser shows that they have turned the film into a cheap, tacky animated cartoon film.
Many on social media are saying that having a pan-India superstar like Prabhas and making a video game type of film is nothing but blasphemy. Most of the scenes are copied from Game of Thrones, Planet of the Apes, and even from the popular online game, Temple Run.
Let’s hope the team takes into account all the feedback from the audience and works on improving the final product. The team still has 100 days to make some changes and come up with something that will do justice to the epic story of Ramayana and the stardom of Prabhas.
